For years, I've faced numerous hurdles during my engineering career, from battling mental health issues, to struggling with an eating disorder, to fighting within the legal system to remain my daughter's father. These experiences left me feeling angry, disheartened, and trapped, with limited opportunities for growth and success.

In the face of these setbacks, I made a conscious decision to prove to myself and the world that my skills, talents, and passion for technology were not in vain. Not-ary.com emerged as a testament to my unwavering belief in my abilities and my deep-seated love for the technology but increasing disdain for the "tech industry", while I attempt to pivot into something that I hope will lead to self-improvement.

Embarking on the development of not-ary.com, wasn't so much a plan as simply enate to my being, in that I enjoy building solutions to my problems. I sought to accomplish two significant goals. Firstly, I recognized the need for comprehensive and accessible resources to help others interested in becoming a notary by learning about all that is involved with being a notary and using that learned knowledge to pass the notary exam.

Secondly, I viewed the development of Not-ary.com as an opportunity to hone and sharpen my own software development chops, DevOps/SRE skills, and entrepreneurial craft. It has become a foundation upon which I can continue to grow and challenge myself in the world of technology, even when traditional employment avenues seemed closed off to me.

The process of building Not-ary.com was a labor of love and a personal quest for self-improvement. It served as a dual-purpose tool, allowing me to study for the notary exam while simultaneously honing my development skills. Each line of code written, and each feature implemented is not only aimed at creating a valuable resource for others but also serves as a reminder of my own capabilities and potential.
